What to do at the marine park?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park is located at the junction of the Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence River and spans 1,245 km2. The park is accessible from four tourist regions: Saguenay\u2013Lac-Saint-Jean, C\u00f4te-Nord, Charlevoix and Bas-Saint-Laurent.
A complete visit to the marine park combines a trip on the fjord or the river, watching marine mammals, including whales, spectacular views and a visit to one of the interpretation centres that showcase marine life and maritime history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whales can be seen from early May to the end of October, at any time of the day. Most species frequent the area during the summer to feed and come to the surface regularly to breathe. Even in the middle of summer, the temperature at sea and on the shores is generally cooler. The water temperature, which is about 4\u00b0C, cools the air above the surface of the park. Wearing warm, comfortable clothing is strongly recommended.
In addition to bringing a good windbreaker and binoculars, we recommend that you bring the following items:
