Visitor Experience Student

Do you care about customer service and feel inspired to share your love of whales in a breathtaking setting? Join our team and help deliver a high-quality experience to visitors at the Cap-de-Bon-Désir Interpretation and Observation Centre and the Marine Environment Discovery Centre.
In addition to welcoming and informing visitors, the Visitor Experience Student supports crowd management, handles sales in the gift shop, and assists with the collection of admission fees. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, adapts easily, shows initiative, and works well as part of a team.

Selection process number: 2026-CAP-SAG-EA-SU-002

Workplace: Les Bergeronnes and Les Escoumins. The person must be able to transport themselves in order to reach the designated workplaces on their own.  

Period of employment: June 11 to September 7, 2026 (including paid training at the beginning of employment). The end date of employment may be adjusted based on the successful candidate’s return‑to‑school date.

Type of job: Full time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Hourly rate between $19.78 and $25.17, depending on the level of education

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be registred full-time or part-time in Winter 2026 in a college or university program, or returning to full-time or part-time studies in Fall 2026 in a college or university program
  • Reside in Canada and be authorized by law to work in the country

Conditions of employment:

  • Hold a valid Class 5 driving licence
  • Work outside in varied terrain and variable weather conditions
  • Be able to provide a moderate physical effort to stand for long periods of time.
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Oral fluency in both French and English
  • Obtain a reliability status
  • Agree to wear the Parks Canada uniform

*Possibility to rent a room in a house reserved for students, depending on availability
